| Weston With wide open banks and easy casting, Weston Fishery often appeals to the less experienced angler. The three lakes which lie at the foot of Weston Wood are fed by sizeable springs which provide water of outstanding clarity and purity. The main lake of nearly 4 acres and the more recent 1 acre Millhouse lake are stocked with rainbows (and brown trout in season) of an average weight of 2lb 8oz to in excess of 10lb. Both have good average depth to provide consistent fishing throughout the year. The adjacent smaller lake, stocked with brown trout in the open season and fed directly from the springs at Silent Pool, is ideal for dry fly fishing. Because of its perfect location beside the River Tillingbourne there is substantial fly life at this fishery, especially damsel flies, repeatedly producing outstanding evening.

Stands of established Alder and Crack Willow provide ample shade and natural cover.
